"In this subtle existential meditation, Heti imagines a dreamlike landscape in which big questions are gently asked, and just as gently answered. The overall sensibility is fresh, even futuristic." - Publisher’s Weekly

A book intended for children, published by McSweeney's, with art by Clare Rojas. It's the story of a horse who doesn't understand why he was made a horse and not some other animal. He encounters a sheep, the grass, a light and an apple, seeking answers, finally coming to understand that he was made a horse because "we needed another horse," and that the apple, the grass, the sheep and everything else in this world are also needed.
